So, what is this program all about?

A Cruise Down Fedz highlights and celebrates Denver’s longstanding Chicano, car and cruising cultures. This is a parade, a moving museum, a declaration of appreciation, and celebration of an incredible American art form and integral aspect of Denver culture.

So what happens? Community organizers and cultural workers have gathered the car clubs and lowriders from the community for a celebration that spans many neighborhoods, anchored by La Raza Park and Barnum Park. We’ll cruise, led by an Aztec welcoming dance and ceremony, with live art, stories on the history of the community and culture, and we’ll learn about current plans for infrastructure and economic development—and how residents can be involved in that process.
