Netflix and Chill: (For Reel. With Strangers!)

October 13 @ 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Dust off the old VHS tapes, you bring a pillow and we’ll bring the popcorn, candy, and drinks!
(Feel free to sneak in whatever snacks you like of course…Show starts at 6:30pm SHARP)

On Friday, October the 13th, it’s the 1984 film RED DAWN, which is much scarier than a guy in a hockey mask: it’s what scares Americans the most—foreign invasion, commies, and high school!

After, we’ll discuss the movie’s implications for today’s world and how watching a movie might be able to spur us to action, with:

*US ARMY veteran Garett Reppenhagen
*Indigenous People’s Power Project direct action expert Robert Chanate
* Leonid Reznikov, editor of Gorizont, Colorado’s Russian language newspaper
(this is a PG-13 movie)

$5 suggested donation
(no one is turned away for lack of funds)
As always we have delicious cookies as well as Spanish/English interpretation and childcare (if requested).
