Let’s scratch our heads and explore solutions to the seemingly impossible problems of our age.
In collaboration with many wonderful folks (including some animal friends from the Denver Zoo, and plant friends from the Denver Botanic Gardens) we’ll scratch our heads and think about the seemingly impossible problem of “Extinction”….
* Is extinction just something that happens naturally, or are there causes we can point to? Do we have any power over when extinction happens? If so, what’s our role, and where is our power?
* Some extinctions sound pretty good: Mean dinosaurs, the busy signal on the phone, tie-dye t-shirts, Friendster.
* But what about newspapers, pensions, neighborhoods, or people in our community that might go extinct?
In addition to the fun activities we have some incredible people on hand to help us dive into these questions.
All of our programs are free, with a $5 suggested donation to help with costs.
Childcare will be available (and interpretation can be as well if requested–A few days notice is helpful for planning!)
